“An artist who is not afraid of color” is a fitting description for Alan, an Argentinian artist living in Aarhus, Denmark. A 35-year-old artist. “My artistic journey started in Argentina, where I discovered my photographic style which could be called night photography of sharp neon lights of Buenos Aires.”
The chosen medium is acrylic and oil on canvas. He have crafted a series of paintings named “Couples,” and “Trios” which search into the intricate dynamics between what’s there and who, blurring the lines between reality and abstraction. Creating a dynamic between the spectator and the painting invites us to think about who are the characters, and where are they from.
His inspiration is people that “I met during my life, in Argentina, the colors and energy of my homeland continue to infuse my work, even after moving abroad. My paintings are a visual exploration of the dynamic human interactions I experienced in Argentina – the spontaneous sidewalk conversations, the tango, the heartfelt childhood moments, the teenage/adult adventures. Now I want to share my experiences and art to where I am living now, Denmark.”
